Asset Management

The final result of the efforts of the Project Development and Construction teams is an asset (the wind farm) capable of producing a revenue stream for periods of 20 to 30 years. The Owners of the asset rely on those revenues to provide the return on their investment, and enXco Asset Management assures that the financial goals of the project are met.

Throughout the life of a wind energy project, enXco Asset Management closely monitors the performance of the project and works integrally with the Operation and Maintenance team. Detailed budgets are reviewed and refined to maximize return on money spent. Continuous review of budgeted production, revenue and expenses as compared to actual maintains strict control. Technical issues related to the turbines or balance of plant equipment are evaluated and, where necessary, resolved with the manufacturer. Asset Management uses a collaborative approach to working with regulatory agencies and establishes close ties with local officials. Permitting and other legal or regulatory issues are swiftly reviewed and responded to as required. All contractual agreements are thoroughly reviewed and monitored for compliance with critical reporting and other requirements. Asset Management uses its total project functional expertise to continually maximize the value of a project by seeking to optimize every aspect including financial, contractual, technical, O&M, environmental and legal. During the performance of all of these critical activities, enXco Asset Management provides detailed reports to the Owners of the project showing financial and production related performance of the project.

The enXco Asset Management Team fully utilizes the extensive resources and experience of enXco to achieve superior results for each project.

The enXco Asset Management Team currently manages over 1,900 wind turbines for our own account and almost 2,000 wind turbines for third parties. We consistently have a fleet availability of 97% for those projects we manage.
