enXco Announces the Permit Approval of Shiloh II Wind Energy Project

Escondido, CA. - enXco, an EDF EN Company, is pleased to announce the issuance of the conditional use permit by the Solano County Planning Commission giving the approval to develop and construct the 150 MW Shiloh II Wind Energy Project. The 75 turbine project, located in the Montezuma Hills Wind Resource Area of Solano County, CA. will use 2 MW REpower turbines. enXco will own and operate the project, while Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) will purchase the project's output under a recently approved 20-year Power Purchase Agreement. enXco will begin construction soon with scheduled completion planned for year end.

Dennis Scullion, enXco's Southwest Regional Development Director stated “The Shiloh II Wind Energy Project comes as a result of enXco's dedicated team and steadfast effort to further develop wind projects. It is very rewarding for us, as a California based company, to be able to permit such a large project in our home state in the cradle of the US wind industry. We extend our thanks to Solano County, Travis Air Force Base, and PG&E for their dedicated cooperation to make Shiloh II a reality. This project is also significant to PG&E as it represents approximately 5% of PG&E's annual renewable procurement requirement. We look forward to our continued partnerships with the community to help meet California's Renewable Portfolio Standard.”
