Sacramento Soleil Solar Project
Sacramento Soleil represents the largest solar PV array in the
United States, and the first in California, to be built exclusively
in response to customer enrollment in a voluntary green
pricing program. The SolarShares program provides an
opportunity for all SMUD customers to choose solargenerated
electricity and become “virtual solar owners.”
enXco was awarded the contract to construct, own and
operate the system based on their project development
expertise, economic competitiveness, and ability to deliver
the project. enXco will provide the energy on a 20-year power
purchase agreement to SMUD.
